A major coup for Futera United, in the next chapter of their incredible story, came with the news that they had signed Saint Kitts and Nevis international striker Tishan Hanley. This is a real statement of intent by Futera showing the desire they have to achieve their goals, the potential at this football club is frightening.
A much traveled, robust number 9, Tishan Hanley has plied his trade throughout the world with stints in the US, Thailand and an incredible spell in The Philippines top flight with Kaya, where he scored 24 goals in 16 games. Tishan has also represented St Kitts and Nevis at U17 and U20 level, before going onto win 26 senior caps. A center-forward who leads the line and links up play well he has incredible pace, aerial prowess and a poachers instinct for a goal.
Initially agreeing to come and train and take a look, Tishan was so impressed with the professionalism of the facilities and the quality of the team that he was quickly eager to join the ranks at Futera United. Unfortunately a sickening clash of heads with Boss, in training meant that he was unable to play in the arranged trial game. However, after glowing reports from Coach Den and Breeze, who both think he is exceptional, the NFT community voted for Tishan to be signed up. With his Caribbean swagger, Tishan who exudes charm and charisma, has integrated himself into the squad already becoming a popular figure amongst his teammates. Not only will he bring goals and a dominant forward presence, but I feel his wealth of experience will be invaluable to the young Futera team.
Joining Tishan in signing this month is a trio of young starlets, Save, Art and Eak. Save has already impressed in a midfield holding role in the TA games, while both Art and Eak put in excellent performances against Royal Police Cadets. These three youngsters, all under 20, demonstrate the ability of the Futera coaching staff to identify and nurture young talent.
When a fourth division Bangkok Premier league side can sign an international player of the quality of Tishan Hanley it demonstrates the commitment and desire of Futera United and its NFT holders to see this amazing project succeed. As I have mentioned previously we are at the beginning of the journey and there will be many ups and downs along the way, but with the incredible community behind them Futera United will go from strength to strength and achieve great things. Exciting times lay ahead and I'm eagerly awaiting to see Tishan Hanley’s debut for Futera United.
