Kasem Bundit FC 0-1 Futera United

Updated: Feb 12

Sun 1 Feb 2026, 16:00 – T3 (Kasem Stadium)

Futera United secured back-to-back victories for the first time this season after returning from in-form Kasem Bundit University with three hard-earned points, thanks to Champ’s stunning 30-yard strike. An unchanged Futera United took to the field against a Kasem Bundit side in a rich vein of form during the second phase of the season. A much-improved Futera started on the front foot, dominating possession and winning a succession of corners. Phu came agonisingly close when he cut in from the right flank and unleashed a fierce left-footed drive that crashed against the Kasem Bundit crossbar with the goalkeeper completely beaten. Moments later, Beem tore down the right flank and delivered a perfect cut-back to Beale, who was just about to pull the trigger when he was crudely bundled over from behind in what looked a stonewall penalty. To Futera’s disbelief, the referee waved play on, sparing the home side a decision that seemed impossible to ignore.

Kasem Bundit were left frustrated by a heroic Futera defence, with the two Koreans once again producing immense performances alongside the tireless full-backs Bas and Fanta. Reduced to hopeful efforts from long range, the home side found no way through as the referee brought the half to an end with the sides locked at 0–0. With Net picking up a slight knock in the first half, Heng was introduced at the break. A tense and cagey second half followed, with both sides struggling to break down two stubborn defences. Futera went close when a header from a Cha long throw drifted narrowly wide, before excellent work from the tireless John Owoeri created another opening, only for Heng’s left-footed strike to be parried away brilliantly by the Kasem Bundit goalkeeper.

In the 82nd minute, with the game seemingly destined for a goalless draw, the ball fell to the impressive Champ some thirty yards from goal. What followed was pure magic. The experienced midfielder struck a dipping volley that thundered in off the underside of the crossbar to give Futera a fully deserved lead and send the travelling support into raptures.

Moments later, Futera were again denied by controversial officiating when John Owoeri was clearly clipped on the heels as he powered into the penalty area. To the disbelief and fury of the Futera faithful, the linesman ruled that the foul had occurred outside the box, sparking loud protests from the away end.

Futera remained resolute in the closing stages, seeing out the remaining minutes with composure and determination. The final whistle confirmed another outstanding victory, as their incredible form in the second half of the season continued in unforgettable fashion. Another outstanding display from Futera saw them secure a thoroughly deserved three points. The transformation from the first half of the season to now is truly night and day. The two Koreans have been colossal since their arrival, while the exceptional form of Bas and Fanta at full-back has made the defence look virtually impenetrable. Champ’s calming influence has been another huge plus, and his goal was pure quality. Winning games breeds confidence and creates momentum. We now look like a match for anyone in this division, Prime included. However, we must not become complacent and instead push on to finish as high as possible in our debut season as a professional team.

With big games coming up against sides below us in the table, we must approach them with the same commitment and passion.

Futera Su Su.
