DOME FC 4-2 FUTERA UNITED

Saturday 6th April 2024 - 16:00pm Thailand / 09:00am GMT - TSP

Dome FC proved why they are favourites to win the TSP as they ended the Black and Gold's title ambitions in emphatic fashion. Futera held out in the first half to keep the scoreline at 0-0, and although we had chances of our own, Dome were on top for most of the 45 minutes, frustrated only by the efforts of Film and poor finishing. However, on 44 minutes a clumsy exchange on the right hand side between Bas and Domes number 90, who was excellent all game, saw him cut the ball back across the area for the Dome number 10 to guide the ball into the net. Replays made it look like a foul by the number 90, however no one could begrudge them the lead. One minute later though a mix up at the back saw Dome score their second to make it 2-0, with Futera going into the break agonising over one of the worst 60 seconds in the club's history.

Although obviously feeling the effects of the game vs Sathorn only 48 hours earlier, Futera came out for the second half with renewed vigour , as substitute Sin, playing on the right wing, being a highlight, as he tormented the Dome defence time and time again. However, for all of Futera's dominance, Domes clinical finishing punished the black and gold twice, to put the clash out of reach, giving the famous club a 4-0 lead. To our credit, the boys didnt drop their head, streaming forward again and again, with goals from Ian Beale and Nuang pulling two goals back to finish the game 4-2. Sin's performance was a certain plus point on a frustrating afternoon, giving us maybe a glimpse of what we all thought we saw in pre-season. With results going for us, a win in two weeks vs BSL could set us up with a second place decider on the final day vs Look Esan. Su Su.
