Futera United 0-1 Kasem Bundit FC

Wed 22nd Oct 2025, 15:00 – League Cup (Bangkok Univ. Rangsit Stadium)

A frustrating afternoon saw Futera United dominate for large spells of the game, only to walk away empty-handed after a string of missed opportunities.

The visitors snatched the only goal midway through the first half, a rare lapse in concentration punished ruthlessly, and it proved to be enough to send them through to the second round of the League Cup. For the Black and Gold, it was a bitter pill to swallow, as waves of possession and territory yielded no reward.

There were, however, positives to take. Phu looked back to his lively best, a constant menace for the opposition defence, driving at players and opening space. Tsubasa showed real progress in midfield, appearing more composed and confident with every touch. And Beem’s second-half cameo once again underlined his natural talent and potential; his creativity injected energy at a time when it was badly needed.

While the result was disappointing, perspective is key. With league survival the clear priority this season, an early cup exit might just prove a blessing in disguise, reducing fixture congestion and allowing focus to remain on securing our position in Thai League 3.

Still, the defeat exposed a lingering issue: the gap in cohesion and quality between our established first-team players and those on the fringes. Depth remains a concern, and if Futera are to truly compete on all fronts, the upcoming transfer window will be crucial.

The work starts now, lessons learned, standards raised, and eyes already fixed on strengthening ahead of the next challenge. Susu!
