Futera United 1-0 Bangkapi FC

League Cup - First Qualifying Round
Futera United booked their place in the next round of the League Cup with a hard-fought 1–0 victory over Bangkapi FC, with Heng’s second-half goal proving the difference.
Futera struggled to take control during a scrappy opening 45 minutes, with a makeshift forward line unable to find its rhythm. Despite that, Bangkapi rarely threatened at the other end, with Zaw Min Tun and James formidable at the heart of a defence that gave the visitors very little to work with.
The game changed after the break.
The black and gold began to play with greater intensity and purpose, with substitute Heng proving almost unplayable at times. The breakthrough eventually came following excellent work from James Oise down the left, creating the opportunity for Heng to finish and give United the lead.
From there, United managed the game well. Bangkapi pushed for an equaliser, but the defence remained composed and ensured the slender advantage was enough to see out the tie.
Unfortunately, an excellent result was marred by two serious injuries. Q required five stitches after suffering a facial cut, while Fanta was taken to hospital with a suspected facial fracture following a heavy collision.
Not the prettiest victory, but cup football rarely needs to be. A clean sheet, a place in the next round and another important step forward for Futera United.
