Goals from Phu, Song, Bank and trialists Deng and Wave earned Futera United an impressive 5-2 victory over Namdhari FC in sweltering Bangkok conditions, as another encouraging pre-season performance continued the club’s preparations for the new campaign. New signings Aof and Mai both underlined exactly why they were recruited, producing assured displays full of quality and energy. Captain was outstanding in the attacking midfield role, dictating the tempo throughout and deservedly taking the Man of the Match honours. Among the trialists, Deng, Wave and Fam all strengthened their cases with eye-catching performances. Wave provided the standout moment of the afternoon, unleashing a stunning 40-yard strike that flew into the net and capped an excellent individual display. There was one disappointment as Titan was shown a red card after reacting to a foul by kicking out. It was an unnecessary moment from the young full back, but one that will serve as a valuable learning experience. While the scoreline was pleasing and there were plenty of positives to take away, the coaching staff will know there is still work to do. Fitness levels will continue to improve as pre-season progresses, with the squad building towards the challenges ahead.
