Bangkapi FC 1-2 Futera United

Futera United got their league campaign off to a winning start with a hard-earned 2–1 away victory over Bangkapi on a rain-soaked afternoon. Goals from James Oise and skipper Bas secured all three points for the black and gold.

Futera dominated the early stages, but it took a moment of magic from Champ to unlock the hosts’ defence. His curling 40-yard pass picked out Oise, who finished brilliantly to give United a deserved lead.

The advantage lasted only a few minutes. A Bangkapi long throw caused havoc in the Futera penalty area and, with United unable to clear, a home forward seized his opportunity to smash in the equaliser.

The second half followed a similar pattern, with Futera controlling proceedings but unable to make their chances count. With 15 minutes remaining, however, a debutant helped provide the decisive moment.

Half, introduced just three minutes earlier for his first Futera appearance, delivered a pinpoint cross into the area. Captain Bas rose superbly to meet it, powering home a header to restore United’s lead.

From there, Futera’s defence stood firm. Aof and Khun were outstanding, helping United see out the closing stages and protect the three points.

On a difficult afternoon in wet conditions, the black and gold combined moments of quality with the resilience needed to get the job done ... a winning start to the league campaign.
